The Association of Anaesthetists is pleased to announce the launch of a new journal published by Wiley: Anaesthesia Reports.

Following on from the success of the Anaesthesia Cases online resource, the Association of Anaesthetists will be developing this into an independent online journal, now named Anaesthesia Reports. Anaesthesia Reports is a peer-reviewed journal that will publish reports of novel, unique or educational cases that stimulate interest in the specialty. These can cover any aspect of clinical care from perioperative medicine, critical care and pain medicine. The scope of the journal expands beyond case reports, and also includes novel clinical or educational techniques, equipment or strategies. Perhaps most exciting of all, Anaesthesia Reports will also be publishing what can be seen as the next generation format of case reports in the form of multimedia pieces. This includes still images (including radiographic images) and videos that are novel, educational or interesting. Examples might include echocardiography videos, clips of awake tracheal intubation or sonographic stills. There is no journal dedicated to anaesthesia-related case reports that has the scope of Anaesthesia Reports. Moreover, this journal aims to be indexed in the near future in the main medical databases (e.g. PubMed), will report to the Editorial Board of Anaesthesia, and will adhere to the principles and ethical standards of the Association of Anaesthetists, the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and Anaesthesia journal.
Read, submit and share your clinical experience in the new journal from January 2019!
