New Editor and New Assistant Editor appointed

After many years of service, Dr Craig Bailey has taken a step back from the running of Anaesthesia Cases, and will remain an Assistant Editor. Dr Kariem El-Boghdadly has taken over as Editor.

In addition, Dr Mike Charlesworth has been appointed as an Assistant Editor.

Mike Charlesworth is an advanced trainee in cardiothoracic anaesthesia at Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester. He previously undertook a three-year Academic Clinical Fellowship at Lancaster University and completed an MSc in Clinical Research under the supervision of Professor Andrew Smith. He was awarded the 2017 RCoA/NIAA Maurice P Hudson Prize for Research and is the current Trainee Fellow for Anaesthesia. He has authored several original articles, editorials, systematic reviews and educational resources on a number of topics including ECMO, decision-making and research methodology. His clinical interests include cardiothoracic anaesthesia, ECMO and heart transplantation.
